Across the courtyard lies our multi-award-winning barn wedding venue, The Barns at Redcoats, nestled in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. Built in 1771 and lovingly refurbished by the Nye family in 2018, The Barns combine quirky historic charm with stylish design and modern technology - perfectly tailored for weddings. Just 30 minutes from London, this beautifully barn venue is designed to make your dream wedding a reality.
In addition to our historic beams, we offer farm-to-fork dining and an outdoor ceremony space with a grain store and manicured lawns, all set against stunning gardens and countryside. Our Cowshed Bar and Lounge adds quirky, rustic style, creating the perfect spot to celebrate and drink your favourite tipple! Plus, we provide plenty of on-site wedding accommodation for you and your guests, ensuring a truly memorable experience.

We’re incredibly proud to share that The Barns at Redcoats has been named Best Barn Wedding Venue in the East of England at the Wedding Industry Awards 2026, and has also gone on to receive a Highly Commended award at the National Finals.
Competing against some truly outstanding venues locally across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, and then nationally, this recognition feels especially meaningful. The awards are based on a combination of feedback from real couples alongside scoring from a panel of respected wedding industry professionals, which makes this achievement even more special to us.
To be recognised both regionally and nationally is a huge honour, and a real celebration of the care, passion and attention our team brings to every wedding day.
